The biennial Tykeson Fellows Conference, convened by the Society, was launched by a generous contribution from the late Mr. Donald Tykeson, an active volunteer and Honorary Life Director of the Society’s National Board of Directors. Clinical Fellowships and Grants: Providing 1-year, post-residency MS clinical fellowships for board-eligible/certified neurologists or physiatrists to gain specialized training in MS clinical care, with a stipend of $75,000 to cover salary, fringe benefits and administrative costsClinician Scientist Development Awards: Providing 3 years of research training support for clinicians committed to careers in academic medicine with an emphasis on MS researchSylvia Lawry Physician Fellowships: Providing up to 3 years of formal training for physicians in conducting clinical trials for MS therapies, targeting residents in neurology or physiatry at PGY3 or PGY4 stage or beyond

The Society funds grants and fellowships to support researchers and clinicians from a variety of backgrounds and interests, at institutions all around the country.
