Hike MS participants are the heartbeat of the MS movement and essential to fueling a world free of MS.
Hike MS is an accessible, family friendly event that hikers of all skill levels can enjoy. Beth Leleck, captain of team Salesforce & Friends, is gearing up for her fourth Hike MS. Diagnosed with MS in 2008, Beth credits her continued mobility to funding for MS research and support made possible by Hike MS.“It’s so uplifting and motivating for me to show up each year and [see everyone] fighting for the same cause − motivated and dedicated to finding a cure and improving the lives of everyone living with MS, their families and caregivers,” Leleck says.

Hike Day Sneak “Peak”

One of Moore’s favorite Hike MS memories is seeing a group of college sorority sisters come back year after year and support Jodi Wilson (pictured with hiking poles) who lives with MS.

Christina Carro, the Society’s senior director of emerging events, says organizers had two goals in mind when they came up with the idea for an MS hike: They wanted to connect people living with MS and their supporters to beauty of nature, and they wanted to offer a more adventurous and personal way to change the world for everyone affected by MS.Raising more than $2 million and counting since its inception, Carro says the event’s success is a testament to the impact people can make when they work together.“By fundraising and raising awareness, they help accelerate research, fund support services and build stronger MS communities,” Carro says. “Every story shared, every dollar raised and every mile hiked adds to the momentum of the MS movement. These individuals are not just supporting a cause – they’re driving it forward.”

Carro says the Society looks to enhance the event experience over the next 15 years and beyond, including new trails, additional partnerships and creating more ways for people to participate. In Carro’s eyes, the future of Hike MS is as bright as a Rocky Mountain sunrise.“We’re focused on growth, inclusivity and deepening our impact,” Carro says. “Hike MS will continue to be a powerful platform for connection and change, helping us get closer to a world free of MS with every step.”Join hundreds of others changing the world for everyone affected by MS by registering for Hike MS: Colorado 2025.
