If you need help finding the assistive device that’s right for you, visit the National Assistive Technology Assistance and Training (AT3) Center or contact your state’s assistive technology program. Statewide Assistive Technology Act Programs (ATPs) are federally funded programs in every state which offer:
Information about what assistive technology devices and services are available and where to obtain them
Device loan and demonstrations or borrowing programs to ‘try out’ devices
Information about funding resources for help purchasing or acquiring assistive technology
Device exchange and/or reutilization programs that provide used equipment at little to no cost

Our Approach to Accessibility

Four guiding principles — from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) — provide the foundation for all of our accessibility work. These principles are known by the acronym POUR for Perceivable, Operable, Understandable and Robust:

Perceivable: Content is presented in ways that people with a range of abilities can recognize and use. For example, we strive to include closed captions and transcripts that screen readers can read with our videos.
Operable: Content is usable by everyone no matter how they interact with it. For example, people who don’t use a mouse can use a keyboard to navigate our site.
Understandable: Content — including the language and layout — is clear and easy to follow. For example, we work to provide clear instructions and error messages.
Robust: Content works well with all kinds of devices and tools, both now and in the future. For example, our site uses code that can be read by a range of web browsers and assistive technologies
